Chicken Achaar



Have you ever tried to cook something and ended up with making something else?

Yes it happened to me. Hubby was craving for some chicken roast and we bought this 2 Whole chicken. Marinated and put it in the oven. And later on we wondered why we put 2 whole chicken (we only ate half, and one n half was still there in oven). Pheeewwww and what to do with remainings now? Then i thought of making this chicken achaar (pickle). I have never made this, so i searched youtube and found yummy food world recipe for ''masu ko achaar''. I little modified it and made it. Here you go and enjoy :)



All you need is:
  • Mustard & fenugreek seeds
  • Garam masala powder
  • Chilli Powder
  • Sichuan pepper
  • Asafoetida powder
  • Salt
  • Thin cut ginger n garlic
  • Turmeric powder
  • Lemon juice
  • Green fresh chilli
  • Chicken (I used pulled oven roasted chicken and pan fried it for 15 minutes till it was kind of crispy)


Method
  • Heat the pan, put some oil.
  • Add fenugreek n mustard seeds (let them sparkle)
  • Add asafoetida, turmeric powder and garam masala.
  • Then add ginger, garlic and chilli.
  • After few seconds put chicken.
  • Then add salt, chilli powder, sichuan powder and lemon juice.
  • Cook for few more mintue and its ready..

This can be later stored in dry jar and can be used for 1 week.
